Experimental Investigation on the Effect of Rubber Powder on Mechanical Properties of PVA Fiber Concrete

To verify the damping improvement by replacing partial sand with rubber powder in concrete process, this study investigated effects of (5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%) on mechanical properties micromechanism polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fiber-reinforced concrete. In addition, order to discuss its performance, free vibration test was conducted. Microstructure analyses were conducted scanning electron microscope (SEM) test. These results indicated that, as content increased, ratio compressive strength decreased, but loss can be effectively controlled adding PVA fiber. The a volume 5% mass 2.4 kg/m3 most optimal mixing balance requirement. According SEM results, beneficial improve concrete, it aggravated interface defects.
